Do you accept paper checks over $10,000?
As of July 1, 2008 NDEP is required by Nevada State Law (NRS 353.1467) to receive all payments for amounts greater than $10,000 by electronic transfer of money. Payments under $10,000 can be made by means of paper check or electronic transfer of money. Paper checks may be accepted if the e-payment system is temporarily inaccessible.

Do you accept credit card or debit card payments?
At this time NDEP does not accept credit card or debit cards, the only form of electronic payment accepted is e-check.

How is the Electronic Payment (e-payment) processed from my bank? The customer submits payment information to NDEP. The transaction is authorized and a confirmation number is returned via email to the customer. The State of Nevada has contracted with First Data Government Solutions’ Paypoint engine to process the transfer of funds.

After I submit a payment with NDEP, how will I be advised of the progress? NDEP will email a confirmation once payment is made.

How long does it generally take to process the payment? NDEP is informed the following business day that the payment has cleared the banking system.

Does NDEP release my personal information? NDEP respects your privacy. We will not under any circumstances release your information to anyone without your consent. NDEP does not store any bank account or routing numbers.

Is the epayments.ndep.nv.gov website secure? — What type of security features are utilized to safeguard my information?

Security is a top priority at NDEP. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline. We recommend you to use a security-enabled browser (such as Microsoft Internet Explorer version 2.1 or greater, or Netscape Navigator version 2.0 or greater).

The information you send us regarding your payment is encrypted, making it extremely difficult to read even if it is wrongly intercepted. You can tell that you are in a secure environment when the browser address bar turns green. When this happens, the information is encrypted and cannot be accessed by anyone else.

If your browser does not support secure transactions, any information that you send may be viewed by others. When our registration form asks you to enter sensitive information (such as your bank account number), that information is encrypted and is protected with the best encryption software currently available in the industry - EVSSL. NDEP uses the most advanced form of EVSSL software available: 128-bit encryption by Comodo. To learn more about EVSSL, follow this link http://www.instantssl.com.
