Do you accept paper checks over $10,000?
As of July 1, 2008, we are required by Nevada State Law (NRS 353.1467) to receive all payments for amounts greater than $10,000 by electronic transfer of money. Payments under $10,000 can be made by means of paper check or electronic transfer of money. Paper checks may be accepted if the e-payment system is temporarily inaccessible.

Bank requirements
If using e-check to make a payment using this website, your bank will need to allow Electronic Automated Clearing House Transactions (ACH) also known as e-check transactions for the amount of your payment. Some banks limit the e-check amount that can be processed. Please verify with your bank the allowable e-check amount prior to making a payment to avoid a banking error or any delay in payment.

Is the 2.5% service fee for using a credit or debit card refundable?
Yes — If your payment is eligible for a refund, your 2.5% service fee is also refundable within 120 days of the original transaction. Please contact us if you are unsure whether your payment is eligible for a refund.

How is the electronic payment (e-payment) processed from my bank? After submitting your payment information to NDEP, your transaction is authorized and a confirmation number will be returned via email. The State of Nevada has contracted with Wells Fargo Payment Gateway services to process the transfer of funds.

After I submit a payment to NDEP, how will I be advised of the progress? We will email a confirmation once you make your payment.

How long does it generally take to process the payment? We are informed the following business day that the payment has cleared the banking system.

Does NDEP release my personal information? We respect your privacy. We will not under any circumstances release your information to anyone without your consent. NDEP does not store any bank account or routing numbers nor any credit card information.

Is the epayments.ndep.nv.gov website secure? — What type of security features are utilized to safeguard my information?

Security is a top priority at NDEP. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline. We recommend you to use a security-enabled browser (such as Mozilla Firefox version 67.0 or greater, Google Chrome version 74.0 or greater, Microsoft Edge 44.0 or greater).

The information you send us regarding your payment is encrypted, making it extremely difficult to read even if it is wrongly intercepted. You can tell that you are in a secure environment when the browser address bar turns green. When this happens, the information is encrypted and cannot be accessed by anyone else.

If your browser does not support secure transactions, any information that you send may be viewed by others. When our registration form asks you to enter sensitive information (such as your bank account number or credit card information), that information is encrypted and is protected with the best encryption software currently available in the industry - EVSSL. NDEP uses the most advanced form of EVSSL software available: 256-bit encryption by Comodo CA Sectigo. Learn more about EVSSL.

How do I change my company name?
If your company name has changed for any reason, please create a new account in the e-payments system with your updated company name. We don’t allow changes to your company name on your existing account as this name is associated with your previous electronic payments. Creating a new account will change it only for the future payments without affecting the payment history.
